Elite Club

The inception of the Elite Mathematics Club in 2011 marked a significant milestone for fostering mathematical enthusiasm among students at SRMIST Vadapalani. The club was established with the primary goal of encouraging active student participation in various events and providing a platform for budding mathematicians to excel in the field. Serving as more than just a forum, the Elite Mathematics Club has become a dynamic space where mathematics is made enjoyable and engaging.

The Elite Mathematics Club continues to organise engaging activities, such as guest lectures, to enrich students’ understanding of mathematics.

An annual highlight is the quiz competition organised by the club, where students have the opportunity to showcase their mathematical knowledge and problem-solving skills. The winners of this competition receive recognition for their achievements, reinforcing the club’s commitment to acknowledging and rewarding excellence.

The Matrix Club 1729

The Matrix Club 1729 Inaugurated by the Chief Guest Dr. J.Baskar Babujee, Professor, MIT, Anna University, on 17th of October 2023. It was a delightful and informative event that brought together students and faculty interested in mathematics. It served as a testament to the enthusiasm and dedication of the mathematical community of FET – SRMIST, Vadapalani Campus.

The Chief Guest Dr. J.Baskar Babujee, in a captivating presentation aided by a visually engaging PowerPoint, shared profound insights into the world of mathematics.

This visual and educational segment of the program enthralled the audience, further enhancing their appreciation for the intricacies and applications of this fascinating subject.

The Matrix Club Orientation was not just an event; it was a remarkable gathering of individuals passionate about mathematics. It stands as a testament to the enduring spirit of curiosity and exploration that thrives within the mathematical community.

Mathematics for Data Science

The MATRIX Club, hosted a guest lecture on February 1, 2024. The resource person for the event was Dr. Neelesh S Upadhye, Professor, Indian Institute of Technology Madras.

The event witnessed an enthusiastic turnout, with approximately 200 students in attendance. Students from Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) specializing in Big Data Analytics, Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) specializing in Data Science participated in the event.
