Proud Achievement – SRMIST Student Interaction with Google CEO at India AI Impact Summit 2026

We are delighted to share a moment of immense pride for SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Vadapalani Campus.

Mr. Ramprakash R, B.Tech CSE (AIML), Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Emerging Technologies), SRMIST – Vadapalani, was selected as one among only six Google Student Ambassadors across India to directly interact with Mr. Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google, during the India AI Impact Summit 2026 held on 18th February 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.

Ramprakash engaged in a direct conversation with Mr. Sundar Pichai at the Google Pavilion, focusing on how the Google Student Ambassador Program is making AI education more accessible and impactful for the student developer community.

The interaction followed Mr. Sundar Pichai’s session with the honorable Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi, during which the CEO appreciated the talent and potential of Indian student ambassadors.

Voice for the Next Generation:

Ramprakash represented the voice of emerging tech leaders, contributing to the dialogue on “Responsible and Inclusive Innovation.” Rather than presenting technical demonstrations, he and his peers shared first-hand insights into how the ambassador program fosters student innovation, leadership and community building across India.

Academic–Industry Bridging:

Ramprakash emphasized how the program effectively bridges the gap between academic curriculum and real-world, industry-level AI applications, particularly benefiting final-year engineering students by enhancing their practical exposure and employability.
