To encourage and support meritorious candidates, SRMIST Vadapalani campus has implemented a very distinctive scholarship programme called the SRMIST Smt. Valliammai Scholarship Policy*. Under this programme, an applicant may qualify for a scholarship based on their overall performance in Class XII board exam results.
SRMIST Smt. Valliammai Scholarship Policy (SSVSP)
The scholarship criteria is as follows for B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering and its specialisation programme (refer Annexure-I):
- Students securing 90% and above in class XII examination are eligible for 30% scholarship in tuition fees.
- Students securing between 80% and 89.99% in class XII examination are eligible for 20% scholarship in tuition fees.
- Students securing between 70% and 79.99% in class XII examination are eligible for 10% scholarship in tuition fees.
The Scholarship criteria is as follows for B.Tech. in all other branches (non-CSE) other than the ones mentioned above (refer Annexure-II):
- Students securing 90% and above in class XII examination are eligible for 10% scholarship in tuition fees.
NOTE:
- Please note that all scholarships are subject to availability of seats and first-come, first-served basis.
- The Scholarship is only applicable for boards enlisted and recognised by Council of Boards of School Education (refer “cobse.org.in” for more info).
- The final decision regarding scholarship is reserved by the Directorate of Admissions subject to management’s discretion.
- Any disciplinary issues during course of study or non-payment of outstanding fee within the stipulated period will nullify the scholarship awarded.
- This scheme will come into effect for students enrolling from Academic year 2025-26 only.
- Continuation of Scholarship: The scholarship offered is applicable for the entire duration of the programme, subject to maintaining the minimum required CGPA of 8.0 CGPA and above in the preceding year of study without backlogs or history of arrears.
- This Scholarship cannot be clubbed with any other scholarship or waivers.
Annexure – I
Programme with 3,50,000 INR will have following outcome :
