Mr. Yuvan Srinivas B S of II year CSE B (RA2211003040015), won SILVER medal in LEAGUES TATEMUAYTHAI CHAMPIONSHIP 2024, conducted by UNITED MAUY THAI ASSOCIATION OF TAMILNADU ( UMAT ). The competition was held On 10/05/2024 and 11/05/2024 at the Chennai Trade Centre.
Ms. M.Lathika of l year CSE AIML B (RA2311026040035) secured silver medal in 10 meters Air Pistol conducted by Chennai Rifle Club at Egmore on 4th may 2024.
Mr. Eklavya Singh of II Year CSE B (RA2211003040113) section got 2nd prize with a cash award of ₹2000 in the Codeweb Hackathon, a Texus’24 Event held at SRM Ramapuram Campus on 12/04/2024.
Ms. Preeti Rajesh from III year CSE C (RA2111026040098) and Nancy from II year CSE CSBS (RA2211042040041) won first prize in NIFT face painting competition on March 21, 2024. The theme was Puzzle of time.
Ms . Preeti Rajesh , III year C SEC (RA2111026040098) and Anirudh Murale, IV CSE B (RA2011003040054), has won first prize in the painting competition at SSN on 9th March 2024. The prize had a cash award of Rs. 3000.
Ms. Nandhini Raja of II year CSE A (RA2211003040109), Ms. Yeshaswi P of II CSE A (RA2211003040005), Ms. Jaishree Baskarano f II year CSE A (RA2211003040013) and Mr. Ruthran S of II year ECE DS, had bagged third prize in the AI Ideation 4.0 held at SRM IST KTR.
Ms. Preeti Rajesh, III year CSE A (RA2111026040098) is a very talented creator and has won first prize in the painting competition held at Rivera, VIT Vellore on Mar 2024. Her talent is awarded with a cash prize of INR 25,000.

Ms. Navika Menon (II year CSE AIML RA2211026040012) recently participated in a workshop on Ethical Hacking and Cybersecurity that took place in IISc, Bangalore. The event took place on 19th-22nd January. The workshop was attended after a selection based event about cybersecurity.
Mr. Dharma Krishna, DCSE alumni batch 2018-2022, Senior Analyst – Data Analytics & Reporting || Professional Services || Strategy & Operations || HighRadius, has received a highflyer award from Highradius for showing exception performance at work on Jan 2024.
Mr. KAMLESH J V K, III year CSE A has been awarded the BEST PROJECT for his professional service project named, Shadow the CEO. He is the Co-chairman for this project done by the Rotaract Club of Guindy. This award was presented by District Rotaract Council on 7th January 2023 at Good Shepherd Auditorium, Nungambakkam.
Srinivasa M of IV year CSE A and Srikanth M of IV year CSE B made SRMIST Vadapalani very proud by attaining placement under a marquee offer at DE Shaw & Co on 28th Aug 2023 and Paypal on 19th Sep 2023 respectively. Their CTC is a whopping 52 LPA for the former and 33.16 LPA for the later. SRMIST Vadapalani wishes them a great future.
Preeti Rajesh, III year CSE C, and Akshaya Kruthika, 2nd year CSE C, participated in the Madras Medical College festival “Revivals” and won 2nd place in Face Painting competition. Preeti Rajesh won 1st place in the Painting competition on 27th Sep 2023
M V Karthikeya of II CSE (AIML) secured 𝕄𝕖𝕟𝕤 3rd place, 𝕌19 Boys 3rd place, Player Award and Men doubles 3rd place at the State Ranking Table Tennis tournament held at Vizag in GIT AMS College on 24th Sep 2023.
Anirudh and Muhammad Harish, III-year CSE D, won 1st place in the hackathon conducted by IET and Saama on 1st Sep 2023. They were awarded a cash prize of Rs. 20,000.
Nisanth Duraiswamy, II Year CSE A, won the Kongu Trophy Badminton Men’s Tournament at the Kongu Engineering College campus, held from 9th to 12th Sept 2023. He also won a cash prize of Rs 7,000.

Nisanth Duraiswamy of CSE II for winning the Founder Trophy (Mens badminton team event winner 🏆) in Badminton Men Tournament at SRMIST KTR on 21st and 22nd August 2023.
Ajay Karthikeyan, II year CSE D, secured the 14th position Paracin Open Chess tournament in Serbia on July 16th – 24th 2023. Won 6th prize in the SSKCC & STCS 1st International FIDE Rated Rapid Chess Tournament on 3rd Sep 2023 and received a cash award Rs 6000.
Ms. Janani Giridharan, II year CSE B was invited as the Vice Chair of the Executive Board of the Skills (Cultural Tourism) committee for The National G20 Summit Simulation conducted on 20th, 21st and 22nd of August 2023, by The Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University.
Poorna Sri M K, III year CSE CSBS, won 1st prize(women category) with the cash award of Rs 3000 in Capa Chess Academy 3rd International FIDE Rapid Rating Open Chess Tournament 2023 held at Nehru Stadium on 15th August, 2023.
To support India’s vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat, MIT ADT, Pune along with Tech Mahindra organized HAB59-Hackathon Atmanirbhar Bharat 59 on 01-08-2020. Mr. Vidhant Matta Btech-2020 passout and Mr. Shahil Islam of IV CSE B won the first prize in the category ‘Health’ with solution to combat Covid-19 pandemic. They built a smart contactless doctor consultation and monitoring platform where all the vital parameters like Heart Rate, Respiratory Rate, Oxygen saturation levels can be calculated without any physical contact and hardware. Both won a prize of Rs. 1 Lakh and their idea will be incubated by Tech Mahindra-Makers Lab. Mr. G. Viswanathan, Chancellor, VIT congratulated the winning team.
Team comprising of Vivek Kumar, Akshith , Sarthak from 3rd year CSE and Vignesh from 2nd year CSE have made SRMIST Vadapalani campus proud by participating in the Xcel@thon’20 – A 24 Hour Hackathon event (14.02.2020 and 15.02.2020) conducted at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad organized by the school of Information Technology and winning a Runners Up and cash price of Rs.20,000. She was recognized for her achievement at the BRIDGE Conference on 26.02.2020
Mr. Shivaprasad of CSE-B final year has made the department proud by winning the first prize in the UI Design Challenge Competition conducted as part of All Kerala Computer Society Student Convention 2020 (AKCSSC) which was organized by IEEE Computer Society Kerala Chapter. The competition took place from 22-11-2020 to 25-11-2020.
Team Teletubbies comprising of Mr. Purushothaman, Mr. Rohit M, Mr. Sai Mani Bhargav and Ms. Sanjana B from IV CSE A section bagged the second prize in ARIMA, 24 Hours Virtual Hackathon conducted as a part of Xtrofest 2.0, National Level Tech Fest at Sri Sairam Engineering College, Tambaram, Chennai on 28-09-2020 & 29-09-2020. Their solution Niyojan – An AI based Recruitment Engine could be used in recruiting employees. The AI engine would categorise resumes and rank them accordingly so that the recruiter can easily pick the right candidate from a lot of resumes. A website (portal) was built for this using ReactJS, NLP and ML was used to build the engine.
