The Faculty of Management, SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), Vadapalani Campus, organized an industrial visit to the LOTTE Choco Pie manufacturing facility on 3 September 2026 as part of its experiential learning initiative. The visit provided students with valuable first-hand exposure to large-scale food manufacturing operations, enabling them to understand the integration of production, quality assurance, automation, and packaging processes in delivering consistent and safe products to consumers.
Students gained practical insights into the Choco Pie production process, including the ingredients used, manufacturing procedures, and packaging operations. The visit also helped students understand the significant role of Quality Assurance (QA) in maintaining product quality, safety, and consistency. The industrial exposure enabled students to connect their classroom learning with real-world manufacturing practices and enhanced their understanding of operational and quality management processes.
