Launch of Valliammai Engineering College, Kattankulathur, affiliated with Anna University.

Deemed to be University

UGC declared the SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai, comprising SRM Dental College, Ramapuram, Chennai, as deemed to be a university under Sec. 3 of the UGC Act 1956.

SRM Engineering, Kattankulathur

SRM Engineering College was brought under the ambit of SRMIST.

Launch of SRM School of Education.

SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre

Launch of SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre.

Add-ons to SRM University

SRM College of Pharmacy, Nursing, Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy in Chennai and SRM Institute of Management and Technology, Modinagar, Delhi, were brought under the ambit of SRMIST.

Launch of SRM Kattankuthur Dental College and School of Public Health (SPH).

SRM Muthucharam, Community Radio, launched at the SRMIST campus.
