A MoU has been signed between Multimedia University, Malaysia and SRMIST during the academic year 2020–2021.

Report on MEMORANDUM OF ASSOCIATION (MoU) Between SRMIST and Tamilnadu Industrial Investment Corporation (TIIC) SRMIST Vadapalani Campus, under the Agis of “Udyamee”—Acceleration and Innovation Cell at Vadapalani campus in Chennai, signed an MoU with Tamilnadu Industrial Investment Corporation (TIIC) in the presence of Honourable Minister Mr.Thangam Thennarasu, Minister for Department of Industries, Tamil Official Language, Government of Tamilnadu on 14-Mar-2022.

The main agenda of this understanding is to facilitate the member start-ups and the MSME’s engagement, inter alia, for the development of start-ups and micro and small enterprises in India.

The Faculty of Management – MBA, SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), Vadapalani Campus, successfully conducted an MOU Signing in collaboration with prestigious academic and industry partners including Malaysia University of Science and Technology (MUST), NSE, CavinKare, Audacious Dreams Foundation, and Commonwealth Students Association (CSA). The Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) were signed to strengthen academic partnerships, industry interaction, research collaboration, innovation, entrepreneurship, and student development initiatives.

A proud milestone for SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Vadapalani! On 3rd December 2025, the Faculty of Management – MBA signed a landmark MoU with the Entrepreneurship Development and Innovation Institute, Tamil Nadu (EDII–TN) during its Silver Jubilee year celebrations.The MoU was signed in the honorable presence of Thiru T.M. Anbarasan, Hon’ble MSME Minister, with the participation of senior officials from the Government of Tamil Nadu, including Dr.AtulAnand, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, MSME Department.

This collaboration sets the stage for a deeper connection between academia and the vibrant startup landscape of the state. The focus areas include immersive student-driven entrepreneurship programs, startup exposure, innovation-centric learning, and opportunities for joint research, case writing, and impactful academic publications. The partnership also supports the setup of design thinking and innovation labs on campus and fosters entrepreneurship conclaves, policy dialogues, and industry-driven forums—creating continuous engagement among students, innovators, faculty, policymakers, and industry leaders.

We are proud to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between TN Apex Skill Development Centre for Automobile (TNAutoSkills) and SRM Institute of Science and Technology – Faculty of Management, Vadapalani Campus, marking a significant milestone in industry–academia collaboration.

This partnership facilitates the launch of a Certified Short-Term Program in “Digital Marketing and AI Integration” under the Tamil Nadu Auto Skills initiative. The program is designed to equip students with industry-relevant digital competencies, AI-driven marketing strategies, performance analytics expertise, and the advantage of dual certification.

Together, this collaboration aims to nurture future-ready professionals by enhancing employability, fostering innovation, and developing entrepreneurial and digital leadership capabilities aligned with evolving industry needs.

A truly enriching Academic–Industry Interaction was organized by the Faculty of Management (MBA), SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Vadapalani Campus, Chennai, through a visit to the corporate office of Creykid. The faculty engaged in an insightful and meaningful interaction with Mr. AmarnathAlagappan, CEO & Co-founder of Creykid, an innovative organization dedicated to designing creative toys, games, and activity-based learning solutions that nurture imagination, problem-solving skills, and experiential learning.The visit provided valuable exposure to contemporary business trends, entrepreneurial realities, operational strategies, and evolving market dynamics. In parallel, faculty members contributed research-driven insights and strategic academic perspectives, enriching discussions on business growth, innovation, and long-term sustainability.This purposeful dialogue effectively bridged theory and practice, reaffirming the institution’s commitment to industry relevance, collaborative learning, and impact-oriented research. Such interactions play a vital role in shaping future-ready management education and strengthening the academia–industry ecosystem.
