The Department of Commerce (Hons) International Accounting and Finance proudly inaugurated the International Commerce Consortium Club on 12th September 2023 at the Faculty of Science and Humanities, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Vadapalani Campus. The club aims to enhance students’ skills through diverse co-curricular activities, providing a platform for their overall development and professional growth.

The event was presided over by Dr. K.R. Ananthapadmanaban, Dean, Faculty of Science and Humanities, Vadapalani Campus. In his presidential address, he emphasized the critical role of co-curricular engagements in enriching students’ learning experiences and commended the department for this noteworthy initiative.

The chief guest for the event was Mr. T. Ajay, Managing Director, NASDC-BFSI, who delivered the inaugural address. He motivated the students by discussing the importance of leadership, collaboration, and extracurricular excellence in building a successful career. He also praised the formation of the International Commerce Consortium Club as a proactive measure to nurture future leaders in commerce.

During the ceremony, badges were distributed to the office bearers and members of the International Commerce Consortium Club, symbolizing their roles and responsibilities in driving the club’s activities and initiatives.

The program commenced with a welcome address by Mr. A. Ranganathan, Vice President of the International Commerce Consortium Club, who extended a warm greeting to the dignitaries, faculty members, and students.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. G. Kaviya, expressing heartfelt gratitude to the chief guest, the Dean, faculty members, and students for their active participation and support in making the event a resounding success.

The inauguration of the International Commerce Consortium Club represents a significant milestone for the Department of Commerce (Hons) IAF, providing students with a vibrant platform to hone their skills and prepare for the dynamic challenges of the global commerce and finance sectors.
